Pepe Castro made an overall assessment of Sevilla’s season. The club president highlighted several names and speculated about the future. Martial’s name generated the greatest expectation.
“We made an important effort, a player who showed his value, but he couldn’t adapt, he had several injuries. He was on loan and will return to United. He didn’t have the performance we wanted, I don’t mean he didn’t try, but things didn’t work,” he said of the French international.
“The grade of the season has to be very good. The spectacular thing would be to achieve something more. It is something remarkable, we have to value what we are doing. There comes a time when it seems that being in the Champions League is our obligation. the same objective as us, and we have to value qualifying for the Champions League for the third time in a row. I insist, we value what we are doing”, he continued.
“We are not obliged, but if an offer comes out of the market, as in other times, we will sell. We will make a competitive team, because others will arrive, this is not new, we have done it before. Some will leave and others will come. There is a sporting direction, and we have Lopetegui, who puts the players on the field”, he indicated about the possible signings in the future.
